2006 Bimota DB5

Posted by admin on Oct-10-2008 under Bimota, Bimota DB5
Bimota North America, Inc., the exclusive importer of the legendary Italian Bimota motorcycles to the USA, Canada, and Mexico, has announced the official U.S.A. launch of the award winning DB5 Mille. The introduction of the motorcycle was held in co-operation with Moto-Euro Magazine at the International Motorcycle Show in New York, from January 20 to 22, 2006, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. For the first time ever, the award winning Bimota DB5 Mille was on display in the fully homologated and street legal USA version, at the booth of Moto-Euro Magazine. Also on display was Bimota’s unique Tesi 2D, utilizing a swing arm and hub steering as the motorcycle’s front end. The new DB5 1000 had been officially revealed to the international press on the 21st and 22nd June, 2005 at the circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain.  The event was divided into two days, one dedicated to the Italian press and one to the international press. During the presentation there was a brief press conference and 3 test sessions for each magazine. The event took place under an incredibly hot sun that caused temperatures to reach 36° with a track temperature of approx. 57°. Fortunately the weather did not compromise the promising results of the test.  This was in no small part due to the superb performance of the Dunlop tyres D 208 RR that the DB5 1000 will be shod with as standard equipment. Contact Bimota USA for more information on their motorcycles and for the location of an authorized dealer in your area.
